Each kohlrabi weights approx. 1lb. Before consuming this purple bulbous stem, make sure to peel off the tough outer layer of this kohlrabi. Though its often steamed or boiled, purple kohlrabi can also be baked, braised, roasted, or stuffed with meats and veggies. If you're going to go the stuffing route, note that red kohlrabi pairs well with mint, dill, mushrooms, potatoes, apples, and carrots.
