Garlic, Scapes (1 bunch)
Garlic scapes look kind of like thin green snakes. The taste of these green snakes is quite similar to green garlic with some mild grassy and almondy undertones. When pressed they release an aromatic oil with a peppery flavor. We recommend cooking the scapes as this eases and sweetens their flavor, but they're also delicious in pesto. Pair well with late spring veggies like artichokes, morel muchsrooms, new potatoes, and spring peas.
