A hearty sandwich loaf that can be enjoyed fresh or toasted, savory or sweet, it's the baker's labor of love. This is a mild sourdough made with 100% whole-grain, freshly-ground organic rye flour. Flavor-wise, it's versatile. People love it for avocado toast and open-faced sandwiches, or try it toasted and buttered with Manchego cheese, with or without honey. Store in a sealed plastic bag on the countertop for about 5 days, or wrap well and freeze. A note on gluten: many of those who are wheat-sensitive can have rye breads (except for those with celiac disease).
